Excellent, best chicken fried steak for hundreds of miles, decent portions. Many types of chicken fried steak on menu, I had outlaw with a nice marinated poblano pepper. Also had lone star beer, candied bacon and onion rings. Onion rings came out nice and hot and decent portions. Candied bacon excellent but my friends said sweet, lol.

Fred's has crazy good menu selections. The food is fabulous! The service is really good and fast. The Zaragoza with Dr. Pepper candied bacon, Oaxaca cheese and candied jalapenos is a must try!

We stopped in for the Fort Worth burger week special, the chili verde burger and it was ridiculously delicious. Fort Worth has an annual burger week and for the third year in a row we make sure Fred’s Texas Cafe is one of our stops. The burgers are HUGE, and this year the chili verde burger was so good I’m still thinking about it. Definitely worth the stop. Good atmosphere, good staff, quick service. Fred’s Texas Cafe well worth the stop, you won’t leave hungry. Oh and their happy hour prices rock too, we got there just before 7pm on a Tuesday and my husband and I got a schooner of Yuengling for 7. Great deal!

I hate to admit but I saw this restaurant on tv and had to try. It wasn’t a disappointment at all. The burgers are definitely a staple food Bolo burger. As seen on tv. It was better than expected. The bologna had a nice Smoky flavor that did not overpower the burger. It’s a must try. Sticky burger. A strange burger because it uses bacon infused peanut butter with jalapeno jelly. Umm I loved it. The fattyness of peanut butter complimented the acidic jalapeno jelly with the burger. My kid and I loved it. Bleu cheese burger. It was good bleu cheese burger nothing really stood out as special. The meats were juicy though. Twisted x float. I think that was the name. It was not worth the premium for the spicy sweet bacon. Jfyi. Wait to be seated. It can get loud with music and people. Parking can be limited during peak times.

Finally decided to try this place thought it was kind of pricey for burgers. It's worth every penny. We loved everything. One of the best burgers and chicken fried steak ever. Don't know why but the pepper and cheese on top seemed kind of weird but I tried it and it was amazing

Customer service was great. One thing about people they may forget about the things you've done but they won't forget how you made them feel. The waitresses were very attentive. The inside of the restaurant was very clean. It seemed to be well organized. If you are in the mood to dine outside, say no more! This restaurant has a nice patio. The outside patio was clean. The patio is not a huge patio but it has a comfortable feel. There were also electric fans outside to keep the customers cool. So customers who opt to sit outside during the hot summer months could do so comfortably. Great cocktails! This restaurant has a wide selection of beer. Tasty food. I can't wait to do a return visit. I am eager to try their other foods. The hamburgers were very delicious. The burgers are so big they can be shared by two people. I love that some of the dishes have enough food for two people. The restaurant shares a parking lot with other businesses. The outside area was free of trash and the painted markings were clear for parking. There is still plenty of parking even the restaurant shares parking with the other businesses.

Great country fried steak- loved the batter on it and the fried pickles, was VERY crispy! I got the outlaw so the stuffed pepper (with cheese) was a great addon too. Loved the outdoor seating and am definitely coming back for steaks! Btw, no I did not finish that in one go. The fried pickles were great but also heavy on the salt- so drink a lot of water!

10/10 will return again. I am actually a vendor who provided a service to this location. I was on site for 3 hours and was treated to a meal. Everyone from kitchen, waitstaff and management were amazing. Great personalities and 10/10 customer service. Amazing experience and amazing place to dine in.
